Data Acquisition Protocol
The dynamic texture sequences have been acquired using a SONY
3 CCD Camera and a tripod. The sequences are recorded in PAL format
(720 x 576), 25
fps, interlaced. For each sequence, the white balance calibration
has been performed using a white cardboard in the ambient light
conditions.
Details
Acquisition equipment:
- Digital video camera recorder Sony DCR-TRV890E/TRV900E (3 CCD)
- Use of a tripod for stabilization
- The camera outputs a PAL, IRCC norms color signal
Settings:
- Calibration of the white balance using a white cardboard
- Auto- but fixed exposure
- Steady shot off
- Manual focus
- Auto but fixed gain
Post-processing:
Sequences acquired by the DV camera are interlaced (see
interlacing and DynTex).
A deinterlacing algorithm (spatio-temporal median filtering) has been
performed to obtain the final sequences (for further details see
the
Database section).
